What to Expect
We know it can be super intimidating when you go to a new place, or meet new people. So here’s more information about Redemption Church and what you can expect.
Smiling Faces
From the parking lot to the auditorium, our Hospitality Team is here to guide you and answer any questions you have.
Personal Connection
Stop by our "New Here" tent. We have a couple of gifts for you, as well as a team of people to show you around and help you navigate your first steps.
Engaging Worship
Our worship team will lead you through modern worship as we exalt Jesus together by praying, singing, and reading Scripture.
Biblical Teaching
Most Sundays, our lead pastor, Carter Mundy, will teach. Each week you can expect biblically based, gospel-centered messages with real-life applications.
Casual Dress
We’re not a dress-up kind of crowd. Most people wear casual attire, but you're welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Every Sunday | 5th Grade & Younger
Every Sunday
5th Grade & Younger
Got some little ones? Great! We host Redemption Kids during the Sunday gathering every week, for fifth-graders and younger.
Our leaders create a fun, safe environment that can have an eternal impact. This isn’t daycare… it’s discipleship! We’re raising up the next generation of Jesus-followers to live on mission, starting now.
Redemption Students
Last Sunday Every Month
4th – 6th Grades
For students 4th to 6th grade, we worship with the adults, then hang out during the sermon to talk about the Bible and how to follow Jesus.
Right now, we meet the last Sunday of every month during the service. This is a great start at helping parents disciple their students, as well as giving students a place for community with their peers. Hope to see your student at the next Foundations!
FAQs
Have some questions?
Who is welcome at Redemption Church?
Anyone is welcome to worship God with us!
We want you to feel like family, so we’ll show you hospitality no matter who you are, what you believe, or how you identify. God loves you and so do we. We’re a church in Roanoke for Roanoke, and that includes you and anyone you invite! Our desire is to be a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-generational church. The gospel produces unity in diversity!
What to expect in worship?
We have modern worship, and you can wear whatever is comfortable for you.
To us, how you look is a non-issue for worshiping God. He welcomes us in as we are, though his goal is to transform us so we’ll look more like Jesus over our lifetime. So we center our worship meetings around learning God’s Word together. You’ll hear gospel-centered messages that always push you to grow deeper into a relationship with God. Our goal is to be authentic in our worship. We hope you’ll come check it out!
Is there anything for kids and students?

How do I get connected?
Starting Point is your one-stop-shop for connecting to Redemption Church.
We host Starting Point on periodic Friday nights from 6-9pm (check the webpage for the next date).
Our Lead Pastor, Carter Mundy, will go over our mission, vision, and values so you can decide whether or not our church family should become your church family. Then Pastor Michael will give you specific next steps on how to get connected to our community.
We provide a free dinner, and childcare is available if you need to bring little ones. RSVP for the next one by clicking here!
Starting Point
Looking for your next step? This is it! Come to our introductory event, Starting Point, to learn more about Redemption Church and how YOU can fit into the mission with us.
Community Groups
We believe discipleship happens in community. It’s only when we have others speaking into our life that we can mature in our relationship with God. Learn more about joining our groups by clicking the link below.
