Scripture: Galatians 5:1, 13-26
What does it actually mean to be free? Our culture often defines freedom as autonomy—the ability to do whatever we want and live life on our own terms. But what happens when the things we want begin controlling us? In Galatians 5:13–26, Paul gives us a radically different picture of freedom: true freedom is transformation. Jesus sets us free from sin’s guilt and power, and then gives us his Spirit to transform our desires and produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In this message from our Questions Worth Asking series, we discover why taking control of our lives can’t ultimately free us—and why giving our lives to Jesus can.
We hope this encourages and challenges you. Thanks for watching or listening!
