Scripture: John 15:9-11
This message wraps up our “Get a Hold of Yourself” series on the 8 core emotions from Voices of the Heart by Chip Dodd, focusing on the final emotion—gladness—through John 15:9–11. Pastor Michael teaches that true gladness doesn’t come from success, control, or comfort, but from being deeply loved by Jesus and staying connected to Him, the True Vine. Just like a phone dies when it’s unplugged, our joy fades when we try to live on spiritual 3%. Gladness begins when we rest in God’s unchanging love, grows as we walk in daily obedience, and lasts when Christ’s own joy fills us.
