It’s Time for Groups Again!

Hey Redemption Church! With the fall season in sight, we’re getting back into our community groups and DNA groups together. That’ll be awesome. We can’t wait to do life together as we meet small and coach small. Let me explain what that means!

Community Groups

We believe discipleship (growing in your relationship with Jesus) only happens in community with other Jesus followers. In our strategy for making disciples, this is “meeting small.” So we emphasize community groups because they’re our primary way of doing life with, and caring for, one another in our church! You can’t be a lone Christian according to the Bible, so get into a group today.

If you’re ready to get into community with other believers at Redemption Church, sign up for a community group.

Our philosophy about groups has been (and will continue to be) open groups for anyone to join. This makes room for anyone to enter into community with other believers at any given time throughout the year.

Also, we base our groups on night-of-the-week and location more than specific demographics. The ideal thing is to see diverse groups with different ages, life stages, and ethnicities. The thing that unifies us isn’t being LIKE someone else, it’s being LOVED by the same Father that we all know and follow.

Our community groups meeting schedule will continue to be semester-based (Fall and Spring semesters, with a short break for Christmas and extended break for summer).

Childcare, while always an issue for young parents, is something we’re willing to reimburse you for up to $20 per community group. Don’t let your kids’ sleep schedule keep you from growing closer to Jesus. Work with your community group leader to help get childcare. We don’t want you to have ANY excuse for not getting into community with other believers!

So, whether you’ve been in a group or you’re new, sign up for a group today! You can sign up for a community group by clicking here.

DNA Groups

Our “DNA” groups are for deeper discipleship, nurture, and accountability among members. We think this is a vital way to grow deeper into our church community and in your relationship with Jesus. It’s how we “coach small” in our strategy for making disciples.

DNA groups are 2-4 people in a similar life-stage and of the same gender, so members of the group can be completely open with one another and pray for one another through the ups and downs of life.

If we’re thinking of Jesus’ ministry, he had the 12 disciples (much like a community group) who acted like his family. But then he also had John, James, and Peter, who were his inner circle of close confidants. DNA groups are our expression of that inner circle where we coach one another on toward Christlikeness in the gospel.

If you’re able to make this commitment to meet on a regular basis with other believers, register for a DNA group by clicking here.

Redemption Church, your spiritual health is important to us. We want to be a church OF community and DNA groups, not just a church that does groups on the side. They’re the core of our strategy to help you grow closer to, and look more like, Jesus in your life. Make sure you sign up for one today!
