Honor
Scripture: 1 Timothy 5:1-6:2
As we get close to finishing 1 Timothy, this week we study 1 Timothy 5:1-6:2 to learn more about honoring one another. When we honor others, we show them deference, respect, and care, especially those who’ve cared for us and others. The problem is, we fail to honor God and others because we want to honor ourselves more. But Jesus took the dishonor we deserve and gave us his own honor before God. Now God honors us because he sees Jesus perfect life and death in our place. Let’s respond by honoring God above all else, which will naturally push us to honor others.
